Your CHZ rewards are calculated using two key variables that work together:
Annual Percentage Rate (APR) – The APR represents the total yearly reward rate distributed across all participants. It is variable, not fixed, and depends on network-wide staking activity.
a. When more CHZ is staked overall, the available reward pool is shared among more participants, so the APR decreases.Staking Duration – Rewards accrue continuously over time. The longer your CHZ stays staked, the more rewards you accumulate, based on the APR active during that period.
The simplified formula is: Reward = (Your Staked CHZ ÷ Total Staked CHZ) × Validator Reward Pool × (Staking Days ÷ 365)
As an illustration, if you stake 300 CHZ for 3 months at an estimated 21% APR, your approximate reward would be: 300 × (0.21 × 3 / 12) = 15.75 CHZ.
Note: The APR is variable and can change at any time based on network conditions and validator performance. Past performance is no indication of future results.
