What are game-used items?

Game-used items are physical memorabilia that come with a certificate of authenticity. They are Socios Collectibles available exclusively on the Socios.com app.

Each item is fitted with an NFC chip, which validates the item and adds a layer of authenticity. A QR code is also fitted, and when scanned, the owner sees the moment the item was used during a game.
For example, If you own a game-scored ball, you can re-watch the goal by scanning the NFC chip on the ball and re-live the memory!

What is a NFC?

NFC chips, or Near Field Communication chips are added to items to ensure they are the authentic item, validating them and proving their ownership and background.

NFC technology provides a communication channel between items, using smartphones or watches to exchange data over short distances. These chips store information on each item like the history, ownership and more key fields to prove authenticity.

How can I get a game-used item?
Each Socios Collectibles drop is exclusively available on the Socios.com app. Items are available via a reverse auction. To be eligible to bid and own an item you must hold the required number of Fan Tokens and SSU Loyalty Tokens.

How will you ensure that I get the correct game-sored Ball?

After every goal, the ball is collected and a new one is introduced to the game. Each item is then fitted with an NFC chip, allowing you to prove authenticity, ownership and access exclusive content using your smartphone. With physical memorabilia and certificates so easy to replicate, proving an original from a counterfeit can be challenging. GameUsed™ - powered by the Chiliz blockchain - eliminates the risk of that by implementing each item with an NFC chip allowing owners to verify authenticity and ownership using a smartphone.

How will the item be delivered to me?

Once you’ve successfully redeemed your item our Rewards team will reach out to you and share further details about the delivery with you. Please note, our general Terms and Conditions for Shipping and Delivery apply. 

What type of game-used items will be available on Fan Rewards?
You’ll be able to pick from game-scored balls, game-worn jerseys, game-used boots, and more from featured matches.
